Our Mission

The goal of Mariposa Psychoeducational Services is to work with families and schools to create collaborative and supportive relationships that foster students' academic and emotional growth. We are neurodivergent affirming and strengths-based, and our approach is designed to recognize and build upon each child's unique abilities and needs.

In addition to completing comprehensive evaluations that take into account the child's cultural and linguistic needs in order to determine whether or not they meet eligibility criteria for special education services, We seek to educate and empower families so that they can be knowledgeable participants in their student's educational journey. At Mariposa, we prioritize child-focused collaboration with districts and advocate for equitable and research-based educational practices.

Services

Assessments: We provide comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in the areas of Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities to include dyslexia, mental health as a relate service and ADHD in both English and Spanish

Counseling: We provide Educational Relevant counseling services. we aim to support student’s social-emotional needs in order to improve academic performance, behavior, and overall well-being. sessions are individually tailored to the student’s needs. 

Executive  Function Skills Training: We will teach your student the skills necessary  to plan, organize and execute their assignments. We will help your student learn techniques and strategies to filter distractions, prioritize tasks, set goals, and control impulses.

I am a clinician with extensive experience in both assessment and intervention of psychological disorders impacting learning and school performance. In addition to being a licensed educational psychologist, I hold a Pupil Personnel Services credential and have comprehensive knowledge of special education law.

I am passionate about identifying children's strengths and learning profiles in order to help them reach their educational potential. I can't wait to meet you and your scholar!
